Having a love for both the arts and sciences, I found myself studying architecture at Philadelphia University, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture. During my studies I had the opportunity to study a semester abroad in Rome and partake in a furniture design studio in Copenhagen fueling my passion for travel an also exploring design at various scales and mediums that continues to this day. Following graduation I worked for architectural firms in Tallinn, Estonia and New Jersey. Environmentally and socially conscious design has always been an interest of mine, but working on a school that was pursuing the Living Building Challenge opened my eyes to a whole new world, also introducing me to the topic of biophilic design.
This is in part inspired me to further pursue biophilic design and lighting at an academic level, receiving my Master of Architecture in High Performance Building and Lighting Design Certificate at the University of Washington. I have been asked to lecture on several topics I am passionate about—Carlo Scarpa, Urban Agriculture and Lighting Design. I am an Associate Member of the AIA and LEED BD+C Certified. On my free time I am enjoying exploring the Pacific Northwest and sitting down for a nice cup of coffee.
