Erica Cartwright

Lighting Designer

Erica Cartwright is an art theorist, designer, and a maker. She is most recently a graduate of the California Institute of Earthen Architecture long-term residency program. There she learned how to design and construct dome structures and landscape furniture utilizing Superadobe technology. In winter 2019 she completed the Cabinetry & Architectural Woodworking program at Seattle Central’s Wood Technology Center (WTC). There she worked as a teaching assistant for the Women in Woodworking course while also working part time as a CNC machinist. Prior to her experience at the WTC, she worked as an architectural lighting designer. In 2017, she earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington in Architecture with a concentration in Materials and Making. Erica enjoys 3D designing, furniture making, architecture photography. Erica Cartwright
